ok, who knows the berretta 96 pistols/?
i bought one of the special ones that are buyback law enforcement ones from wolverine supplys. like the gun, its what i expected,,,, except for the double action. i did not relize the D stood for double action only
im wondering if it would be possible to convert it to a single action style with the right parts.?
just wondering who to talk to maybe , about this
any ideas?

Yes, you would need to purchase a sear, sear pin, sear spring, and if you want to #### the hammer manually, a DA/SA hammer with spur. I have converted my DA/SA Beretta 92 to DA only (the reverse of what you want to do). The parts can be purchased from an Italian company. The web address slips my mind, I am on a borrowed computer for a few weeks. Someone must know the name of the place.

There is no $100 limit when ordering the parts from Italy so you are aware.

it's pretty complicated, the easiest way is to find a new complete slide but it might not be too practical
here's your two options

For the easiest one you would need : hammer, sear, sear pin, and sear spring.

With this setup you won't have a decock feature and will have to do it with the trigger manually (and carefully)
Not the best way, the beretta wasn't designed for that and theres always a risk when decocking with the trigger!

Now the right way to do it would be to add a slide with safety and a hammer release lever! (Basically a G or FS slide)
These parts will get you a functional safety/decocker, otherwise there will not be a safe way to lower the hammer.
