Which Beretta are you asking about? They make and have made a wide range of guns from superb to so-so.
The SO series, the out of production ASE90 and perhaps the DT10 would be considered top of the line shotguns in their categories. The 680 series guns are mid-range. The 391 Urika and Extrema are the best gas-operated semi-automatics on the market.
Earlier Berettas are often hit and miss. There are some good ones and some that are just average.

No but $ for $ one of the best for hunting. My hunting pal has one and loves it. I use a Tikka 412S and it is about the same as the Berrata my friend has. Not sure what model he has though. I might be selling mine in the near future as I have another O/U as well and have just refinished it. Charlie, ( greatwilderness@shaw.ca if you want to chat about it.
