Bersa Thunder 9 and 380

And if you can stand nutnfancy annoying-ness a review of the .380 version!!! (so bad I can't have this gun due to Canadian Laws!!!!)

and Hickok with the .380

So much awesomeness! I can't believe I never paid attention to these before.
I really want a Bersa now.

They are very popular CCW in the States. Would need the goofy 4.2" barrel up here...

There are 106mm versions of the Thunder 9 and Thunder 40, and the Thunder Pro models come with 108mm barrels.

Only thing about the full size models that I don't like is the operation of the decocking lever. (And they are not Grand Power's :) )

Arms East was trying to become the canadian dealer a couple of years ago, but couldn't get through their country's red tape, so I don't think your going to see a canadian dealer any time soon. Pity.

That is weird. They are super popular in the states so it sounds like someone did not want to bother to get through the 'red tape'... who knows, language barriers, papers, etc...it could have been so many different things...
but oh well. I guess I will have to import from the states...

Dealing with Bersa directly is difficult. Setting language barriers aside, their production capacity is limited by their location. (Long story.)
It can be hard to attract the sellers interest for less than a pallet once a year, when that order would be at the expense of customers who order a pallet a week.

I am looking at the cheetah right now, it is still in production in Italy, not imported to US anymore. I think it looks very very cool.

On another note, this is the reply I got in the mail today from Eagle Imports (the importer of Bersa in USA):
Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately the Thunder 380 will not be available in Canada, however, the Thunder 9HC and Thunder 40 HC will be available in Canada with 10 round magazines. Southern outdoors group LLC will handle all Canadian sales 502-457-8906. These models will be available later this year.

Thank you

Eagle Imports
