Hey Guys

So i took out my Brand new 10/22 takedown yesterday to the range. I was using the butler creek 25rd mags and also the black dog machine 25rd magazines with Winchester .22lr hp ammo.

The butler creek ran fine for 5 rounds and then every round was failure to feed. The black dog machine didnt run at all. From the first round it was failure to feed and every round from there.

I'm leaning to think the ammo im using is the problem but i've read of people having issues with the butler creek mags. Has anyone else run into this issue before?

could be ammo as well. im going to test mine out soon(BC mag) but i bought 4 diff kinds of ammo just to rule out parts

I dont have the takedown so Im not going to BS you. Could the gun be partly the issue? Do the mags work fine in other guns?
Are these new mags?
Also have you shot the new gun with the stock mag and found out what your gun likes?

I have run 500+ rnds through my takedown with butler creek & federal bulk ammo with only 3 misfires/ftf. Time will tell but so far I'm smilin'.
