Best 10/22 Mags ?

Another vote for BC Steel Lips for me. I have 6 of them. Some of mine are 10 years old and have thousands of rounds out of them. They never fail with all ammo except yellow jackets (with the funny square bullet tip).

We stock them all, the Promag steel lips work as good as the Butler creek & seem to be the best value, $79 a 3 pak, The new Battledynes work very well & look great, we just put them on the webstore today after preorders were filled. The HC3R use a stripper clip to load, a nice feature, The GSG 110 rd drums are just plain cool! YMMV. They are all in our magazine section, HERE.

Just bought a GSG 110-round drum mag. Very well made, for a change!

For some reason, the steel lipped 24-round BC mag didn't work well at all in my 10/22 (every 2nd or 3rd round jammed, constantly!), but my 32-round Promag has been great!

I'm not impressed with the HC3R, stick to BC steel lips.
What did you find not up to par with the HC3R out of curiosity? If its the finish of the plastic I would agree, its not very nice at all. I found all of my concerns with FTL's went away with a little practice loading.

I have two bx25x2. There is no such thing as a bx50. That is soomething hical came up with.
I have three more being held in customs. These mags work just like thier smaller 10 round counter parts!
Flawless unlike some of the aftermarket mags.
When I get the three, I may sell them.

Brownells, got two but like I said three are in customs. If they don't clear, I'll be tring to get my money back from either brownells or the credit card company. Either way, if I don't get them browells won't be shipping them to Canada anymore.
Hical was selling them for $109 + shipping. Guess I'll do the same.
Like I said they work flawlessly. 50 rounds and NO messing with winders and you don't have to worry about wax ammo. Shoot what YOUR gun likes, not what the mag likes!

..Ahh..Shameless Self Promotion Eh .. ~ meh .. The SAME BC Steel Lips are only 22.50 each .. & you don't have to buy 3..(is still cheaper) @ Al Flahtery in Toronto. They work Great! The HC3R also work great, but figuring it out with the strippers... err..I mean Stripper clips, can be a pain. The rounds are not locked into the stripper in ANYWAY, say like an SKS stripper etc. They are Loose, and Fall out(of the strippers) unless you keep them meticulous, & sturdy, which would be hard in many situations. Also they will not work with ArchAngel set ups. BC Steel Lips, but not at Hicals often inflated & Rip You Off price, on many products prices, cuz they are somehow got that market cornered!

If there weren't so many people having issues with the drum mags, it would be fine. However this isn't the case. You can't say the factory 10 isn't the best, yet it isn't hicap, unlike the bx-25. That's why I jumped at the bx25x2 mags.

I just wish someone at Ruger would see the light and make a new version of the BX25 for Canada. I'm not a fan of coupled mags. They would sell like hot cakes, everyone knows this.

The Battledyne's do look cool but the Butler creek ones actually look great too if you paint them matt black. They look a bit like the 9mm HK MP5 mag with a bit more curve
