Having issues finding someone to ship the ruger quick release bolt stop to Canada.

Could someone pls tell me who the best parts supplier for the ruger 1022 in general?

Try the hical.ca website. Look for the Promag extended bolt release. It also doubles as an auto bolt release. U can also modify the stock bolt release to make it auto. Just requires some filing.

Anyone else find hical super helpful yet disconcertingly expensive... If he offers a deal to CGN members great but otherwise it looks like he may be the most expensive sponsor/retailer on here..

His prices are above the average on some products but then again, he has to cover his costs to bring the stock into the store, the market will decide if he keeps his prices the way they are. ( have seen lots of smaller shops have these problems sometimes)

I have no problem with a retailer charging what they want for a product, but seller be warned that if someone decides to buy somewhere else because its lower then well that happens, its a free market and breeds competition .
 
I have delt with HiCal a few times And I find his prices are a little higher then some others but when I had a problem and ordered the wrong Item (my fault) I called, he changed the order and we talked for about 45mins. I have no problem with paying a little more for good customer service...
 
Below is a list of places I have (or soon will) purchase from:

Hical.ca - promag magazines and maybe an auto bolt release if I'm feelin too lazy to do it myself haha

ca.wholesalesports.com - purchased my sr-22, red dot scope and case for a decent price

dlaskarms.com - purchased a set of 4 full length rails

Questar.ca - purchased a pws T3 mag release

Tactical-mod.ca - (airsoft and paintball website) purchased a Magpul PTS AFG (angled fore grip). I would buy this from hical if you are purchasing other items as well since the fore grip ended up costing about the same after shipping if I bought it from hical in the first place (depending on how much hical charges for shipping on multiple items)

Those are the places I have found in Canada that had parts I wanted. I find that the best strategy is to browse the sponsored stores for the forum (all those advertisements at the top of the page) and decide on what parts you like. I also did a lot of google image searches to see what the parts looked like installed to help me decide. Once you have a list of parts you want, make a list of places that supply them or send an email to see if they can order it for you. If that doesn't work, start a thread about where to purchase the item and a dealer might PM you
 
Thank you for all the advice. I did the trigger mod in about 25 mins, works flawlessly. Amazing what an air grinder and a carbon steel bit will do. I did order a titanium one from hi cal along with some sights. Instant service, very helpful and courteous. I'll continue to use hical.

Now if i can just find an adjustable gas block for my mini 14 .223

I had Great experience with Barry at Bits of Peices he is very helpful and ships very quickly.

Just two months ago I actually bought a quick release and bolt stop off Ebay super cheap, they came from the states, and never had any problems with customs.
 
parts came, 5 mins to install the bolt stop, 20 for the sights. if it isnt too cold i'll go and sight it in. Be interesting to see how close i got just eying it up.

Thanks agian for all the info. Everything i can justify spending on gun parts this month is on its way!! Xmas every month (gun goody budget approved) lol (Choate Druganov for the 10/22 otw, adjustable gas block for my mini 14 otw. woohoo

Next month maybe titanium firing pin and extractor? and some kind of trigger mod. Still investigating that one. Suggestions?
 
oh and hical rocks. Sent me a few extras by mistake, going to mail them back to him as i did not pay for them lol
