I want a 10mm Auto 1911.

Give me some suggestions? Is there many 10mm Autos in the price range?

With that budget you should be able to buy a Colt and have a pocket full of change for ammo to get started with (or set up for loading if you aren't). Recently picked up an older Delta Elite for well under that.

I have seen them used, but in almost new condition anywhere from $850ish to $1200. Your mileage may vary.
