Best 10mm Auto 1911 for $1500 ish.

kimber makes a couple of nice 10mm's, stainless 11 model has adjustable sites and the eclipse model has night sites front stap checkering and is a nice looking gun.they also come with nice triggers

I've been loading the Hornady 200 gr HAP over AA#9 for some excellent results. I'm about to try experimenting with Longshot.

I've loaded bullets from 135-220 gr and I think that 200 is "probably" the perfect weight in the 10 Auto...

200 sounds like good starting point. I really want to work up to full power loads for this gun. Never handloaded for pistol before.

Wonder how these would shoot in 10mm?

Berry 40 (.401) 180gr HP BULLET HOLLOW POINT 1000/BX

Should be OK so long as you don't drive them too fast (probably 1000 fps +/- should be OK). You have to remember that "plated" and "jacketed" are not the same thing and a good jacketed bullet (or even a properly hardened and gas-checked cast bullet) can be driven faster and with less fouling than most plated bullets on the market.

If I were actually shooting game with the 10mm I'd seriously lean toward the 200 gr WFN w/GC driven to about 1100-1200 fps or so...

Buzzed through some load data for those
Looks like they go between cast and jacketed which won't work for me as I wanna push hard on these rounds. Thanks.
