Best 1911 .22 option?

I ordered a GSG Tactical and 2 extra mags from Epps today. Now I just have to wait for 2 months while the BC CFO shuffles the paperwork :(

I have not dealt with Epps before, but everything is going well so far (Wolverine was sold out). $399 for the pistol and $26.99 for each mag. I have also ordered a SIG ACP LE carbine adapter (with a folding stock) from Arma Coat. Hopefully they will work well together, if not there will probably be a very lightly used SIG ACP for sale on the EE soon:)

Tom E Gun....first off 2 months wait?!
If you like the 1911 platform and shooting .22lr you will enjoy your GSG. Some advise...break it down when you (finally) get it and clean it. When you install the threaded barrel/frame pin do not over-tighten it. Better yet, use a little blue loctite. Here's why:
I've noticed a wear mark on the front right side of the barrel where it connects with the threaded bbl protector. My theory is when you tighten the threaded barrel/frame pin it pulls the barrel to the right side causing the out of alignment of the barrel therefore rubbing the bushing. Other than this wear mark my Sig 1911-22 cycles and runs great. I broke mine in with CCI high velocity ammo. It now runs great on the cheap bulk stuff.
Enjoy your new toy.

I received my GSG less than 3 weeks after ordering it from Epps. I just took it to the range today and it ran through 150 rounds of CCI Stinger with no problems at all. I am quite impressed.

How bout the S&W M&P22?
I have one, but haven't had a chance to take it out shooting yet. Seems like a nice gun so far though.

Agreed. The Marvel guns are damned hard to beat. One question I'd have before buying this kit is what magazine it uses. If the COlt Ace magazines or the GSG type work, great. If it's a spendy propriety mag, hmm.

I have a Marvel kit that I use with GSG magazines. Flawless and accurate + I like to have cheap trigger time with the same trigger feeling as when I shoot in 45ACP... less recoil tho !
