best 1911 frame?

sorry for the slight highjack...but does Caspian make any complete pistols?
bumpity bump...
Guns have been sometimes sold as such and even tested in gun magazines... but someone from Caspian declared on one of the 1911 forums that they had never done such a thing (they have their own section on said forum).
Mind you, it was a long time ago and I think they will still fit some parts to each others, like frames and slides, for a fee.

interesting. they sell enough parts to build your own from scratch. anyone here done that or know of anyone that's done such a thing?
