Looking to get another 22 but don't want to go CZ or anything that's going to break the bank. Just looking for good accuracy that I can tag tree rats/ground hogs/rabbits with and enjoy target shooting out to 100 yards with. Something I wont baby or be worried about dragging it into the woods/not cleaning right away lol.

The II BV Seems like it has a low cheek comb for an optic ? Experience ? Yes or no ?

The BTVS Is over 500 even with the mail in rebate an free shipping. Very nice though.

The MK 2 heavy barrel is 279, drop a boyds on there and I think its a solid choice !

Just got the Ruger American .22. Takes same mags as 10/22. Has two risers with it, one for open sights, one for a scope. Seems like a quality gun, although I did have to drift the rear sight quite a bit to get it shooting on target. With the open sights, it is very accurate at 25 yards. Probably put a scope on it next week.

Don't overlook the XT-22 from Marlin.

Comes in at about half your budget in either wood or synthetic stock. Has an adjustable trigger and shoots well.

Worth a look.

Have a look at a CZ Scout. Yup, it's short, but easy to get used to. Get a decent 3-9 ao scope, 5 shot mag and you're good to go. A few bucks more maybe, but dang they shoot, if you can.

There's a nice Zastava in the EE right now.... Brand new Unfired with Vortex optic.... Just sayin' .... Lol

My buddy's rimfire Zastava has extraction issues and is ammo fussy for function. Apparently it's not uncommon. The magazines are also hard to find and not that great.

Ruger American would do. $360 at Cabella's free shipping.
The reliable, flush ,10 round rotary mag are nice and you could run any easy to find aftermarket 10/22 magazines.

If the Toz 78's were still going for $150 shipped I'd say that would be a great choice.

Lol..... So much for plugging my EE ad....

I actually bought mine after we put 500 rounds through my buddy's without cleaning or a single FTF....

I also liked that it was a "man size" Rimfire....... And all of the online reviews I saw were very good....

That being said, I fully endorse your Ruger American recommendation.... Enjoyed shooting one and am a huge Ruger fan.....

An old name, I haven't heard much about. Tons of good online reviews and a good price for sure. I like the wood stock, the cheek comb is always an issue with all rifles ? why is that? At least it has iron sights.

Mark II FV, lists at $242.00 but I picked one up on sale for $199.00 to go with a .22 scope I won at a match. Heavy barrel and really goes with my Mark II FVT and shoots almost as good as my CZ 452.
