Best 22 lr semi rifle?

No harm intended to the Ruger owners, but I like the old steel/wood construction of a gun. Plastics and synthetics never really caught my groove right.

semiauto 22

I was at the range on saturday night and a buddy let me shoot his CZ 22 . I thought it was one of those Russian 22s but on closer examination I was told it was a CZ . if I remember right it was a model 511 and he told me they were;nt makeing them anymore but now they are back in production . very slimline built very nice and the mags well even they were a thing of beauty . made out of steel un friggen believable . in this time of everything being made out of plastic I was taken back by seeing the quality of the mags . the only thing I did;nt care for on the rifle was the trigger pull but I did;nt look to see if it could be adjusted . price well around $500 bucks or alittle less from what I was told . have a look at one you;ll be impressed . :dancingbanana:

There have not been many good 22 semies made.
The best ones I have owned are
1. Ruger 10/22
2. rem 552
I would like to try a cz 511, a browning 22 auto, browning buck mark rifle, a TC 55 (baisically a copy of the cz 511) If you dont want a 10/22 because everyone else has one try to find an old 10/22 international they were a beautiful little rifle and there's not many around. Oh and the only plastic on my ruger is parts of the mag. if you want a semi that is all steel as in no aluminium alloys or plastic, I think the browning 22 auto, tc55, or cz 511 are your only options.

TC R55.
I have mine scoped up but haven't shot it yet. I did however shoot a friend's with CCI minimags. It was extremely accurate. The trigger was heavy but still crisp and no overtravel. I was surprised by it's accuracy. It's a very nice rifle. Also the stock which takes some getting used to looks wise, sits very nicely in a bag. All around an excellent semi auto.

I really like my Ruger, and even my 597, but the TC is the nicest of the three. Especially right out of the box.

Voere Kufstein Model 2117 Semi-auto 22lr

Got this Voere Kufstein M 2117 last night to sell for a friend. Gun looks like a Rem older 740 Rem BDL walnut stock with Ebony on forarm & bottom of pistol grip.
note picture how internls of firing system removes from action makes it very easy to keep action clean. bluing on this gun is very nice compared to what you see now days. Barrel is 20" muzzel is .640 fairly heavy contour.
Will mount scope and take to range and see how it does with some good ammo.if it shoots anything like a Voere 7mm rRem mag I had it will be a good one ?
