Best 223/5.56 magazines

i had never a problem with elander, dh mags and some others that i cant remember the name but the pmags 2 were not working very well in our mp iis but i preferred anyway metal mag.

The early LAR mags were terrible. I picked up the c-products version with the upgraded feeder and spring (orange version) and they feed very well I’ve found.

I've got several of the black aluminum ones with orange followers. If I put a full 10rounds, the first one more often than not fails to feed. For the most part, mine are functionally 8 or 9 rounders.

That's what I noticed with the two LAR mags I tried. One would not even eject...
How about the Norinco 5.56 metal mags? They seem to be the cheapest currently for sale.

No experience with Norinco .556mags.

I find that the 10/10 short LAR pistol Duramags (C-Products) can actually hold 10 and be inserted on a closed bolt. The ASC crimped mags are basiclly 9 rounders as they are too tight to be inserted on closed bolt when fully loaded. The same thing goes for the 10/30 mags (9 rounds function better than 10). This is just my experience. Also the newer 10/10 mags fit the best in the T97, older batch fits tight in the magwell.

I have had the same thing happen and at first I thought it was was the mags until I realized many mags were doing this on full capacity (10 round LAR) AND consistently doing this on a closed bolt. In fact, my MRA Renegade will NOT seat any mag on a closed bolt unless I reduce the rounds by 2-3. My Renegade was the MK1 and so no bolt hold open, and I brought it to them for RMA and they said it functions fine. Since then I have found out many guns apparently don't seat mags well that are at full capacity.

I too have experienced what you have regarding the first round not feeding properly. Yet when I pull the charging handle the second time, the round gets ejected. This has happened on my WK and X95, almost always on a closed bolt. Reducing the rounds on the mag has 100% corrected this, or seating the full capacity magazine with the bolt hold open and then activating it to close the bolt, though it is kind of a weird thing which I don't quite understand.
