I am in the process of turning my Ruger MK11 target bull barrel into a serious bullseye gun and have changed to an optical sight. I was tired of the not so good factory trigger pull and after reading lots on the net i tried A Volquartson sear kit from Rimfire sports online. $21 American to my door. Installed it last week and on sunday went to do some bulleye practice with my shootin partner. Shot one of the best 600 scores of my life. The trigger pull is now very light (about 1 1/2 lbs) and noticeably more crisp. This has helped my timed and especially my rapid fire strings. I would reccomend anyone with a Ruger MK II or III get one as dollar for dollar I've never seen a better improvemnt in any of my guns.

I have ordered the complete trigger kit for a Ruger Mark 3 target any suggestions on who I should get to install it, I have looked at the Video and from my prospective I would gladly pay to have it done correctly.
Any recommendations regarding a smith in the Edmonton Area would be appreciated.

I have the mk111 hunter and i'm also interested in a performance trigger,
this Ruger is a bit of a challenge to get back together , :confused:

Ordered online on thursday night with my card - showed up in my mail on following friday and mail is slow where i live. They ship small parts by mail and I only see stamps etc no customs issues on the package.

have dealt with them a few times - nothing but good things to say

I ordered some stuff from them a few years back and only have good things to say. Now it seems every different outfit makes up its own policies about sending to Canada.

Good to hear that they are still a stand-up bunch! :)
 
ampegor. did you get the instructions to change the sear, with the part? i changed the hammer on my 10/22 to a volquartsen hammer. no instructions came with the replacement hammer. if they did not come with the part. where did you get the info on how to change it? the reason i am asking this is, i would also like to put a new sear in my mk3.
 
No info was supplied but I had had my Ruger all apart right down to the pins and springs a few times and this was not a problem for me to install. BTW to all those interested this is drop in - no fitting required on a stock pistol. The trigger is now very nice and I have not even stoned or polished any parts and the gun only has about 1000 rounds throught it since new.
