More spectacular (and somewhat safer) to empty the pumpkin, put a camping sized propane can inside, and then shoot it with a road flare beside it. Or use a kids sparkler from Canada day.

Use 100 grain XTP's for the .32 H&R Mag pistol round, size .311. Neck turn some choice brass just a little so they will chamber, and take back your comments about pumpkins not exploding!
