Best 30-06 to purchase

The husqvarnas are super under rated.
 
Well I think the recomends so far cover about every rifle brand made ,other than the high end and obsolete
So basicly fin one you like and that fits well and go from there. If you happen to reload you can get almost any rifle to shoot acceptably.

I can vouch for the tikka, I have a t3 stainless laminate in 30-06, very accurate, very durable, very customizable. I’d choose that or the hunter over the lite though, I find a little extra weight makes the shooting experience a little more enjoyable; but that also depends on use case and personal preference, to each their own. If money’s no object I’ve also had the pleasure of shooting a blaser R8 in 30-06, which I would also wholeheartedly recommend. That rifle is truly a marvel of German engineering.
 
Synthetic/stainless the T3 gets the nod, smooth action, accurate, light. Fantastic rifles. I personally can’t stand the magazine set up but they feed slick as anything and I’ve spent thousands trying to improve on that mouse trap to have that “1” more cartridge under the bolt…..

Wood/blued is a model 70 featherweight everytime. Pure perfection if you can make walnut and blued steel work in your hunting situation.

The Howa 1500 has a very nice action on it...available in multi calibres....very good quality for the price point.
 
Hey guys thanks for all the replies, no Im not the OP obviously but had some questions of my own answered here already! Is it common for new members to create threads and just walk away not acknowledging your guy’s time and knowledge put in? If so I apologize on his behalf for such bad form. Was his only post but has been on a few days ago I see. It’s things like this that i get why some members want nothing to to with brand new guys! Kinda ruins it for guys like me want to use this forum for its intended purpose. Maybe I’m just grumpy today but it’s a bit annoying seeing this. Anyway thanks again, I appreciate your time and input, have a great weekend and shoot something!
 
I have never felt a lack when hunting with the 30-06, and with that chambering I have shot at least 60%
of all big game I have taken over the past 67 years. Given a choice, I would opt for an M70 Winchester
or a 700 Remington. But there are many other very serviceable rifles so chambered to choose from.
You will not regret owning a 30-06. Dave.
