Not quality for $300 scoped.Forget speed 1000fps usually doesn't happen when chronographed.Sales hype and innacurate at that speed as the pellet goes sub-sonic too much turbulence.RWS 34 in .177 will give you mid 800-900fps with hobby pellets. The alloy lightweights that do 1000fps WILL DAMAGE YOUR NEW GUN ie seal and piston.Specialty Shooting Sports in BC has them for under $300.persomally I'd get a HW50S in .177 that does 800fps and try and wear it out in one lifetime A little over 3 bills.GOOD LUCK!Leaper's scopes run from $50 upand can take a air rifle beating..........Harold

Try and find a deal like I did last year. I was in Grand Forks MN last fall when our dollar was high, and found an RWS Diana Model 54 in .22 cal at the Cabelas. It was in the bargain cave, and priced at $325 US . Our dollar was worth more than the US at the time, so I saved even more. It came scoped as well.

Really? All pellet guns that go supersonic are inaccurate? I was considering shelling out some extra cash and getting one that'll shoot 1500fps-ish, but you don't recommend them? Found an RWS 34 for under $300, I take it RWS makes quality air rifles?

The design and shape of a standard pellet was not design for accuracy when exceeding the speed of sound. It'll go but the accuracy will suffer.

I've had a RWS 34 177cal. for 10 years or more and prolly 2000 rounds threw it. I just clean it with air gun oil and put a few drops of chamber oil in it every 3-400 rounds. It's shoots as good or better than when it was new. Kills tree rats 1 shot no problem

I had key word had a RWS350 mag in .177 and the only accuracy I could get was with the heaviest pellets available 10.5 grand up .ie Kodiaks and Crosman Ultra heavies.Electocuted grouse to the point of not even flapping but dam it was hold sensitive.HW50S is top drawer in .177 and I've seen pics of guys even getting groups at 75 yards + 100 was still in 2" Amazed the hell out me too. With a Sportsmatch one piece mt recoil arrestor pin indestructable.I own and use it's big brother HW80K/.22 at 800 fps and have killed game up to crow and skunk size no problem......Harold
