We're confused ... are you looking for a recommendation for a make and model or for a new or used gun.

If you're looking for a used ( or, "pre-owned") gun, use the Equipment
Exchange (after you apply for access) ... a WTB for the make & model you're looking for.

IMO , for what its worth :
Tika
Savage
Remington
In that order , but my latest 300WM was a Savage , Had a Tika been available things may have turned out differently .

The Remington Model 770 comes with a detachable mag. Synthetic stock though. The Browning A-Bolt comes with a wooden stock and has a detachable mag.

Sako model 75 Hunter Stainless or Laminate Stainless - best in my opinion. I have it in a SS model, but the LS model would be sweet.
Sako m75 Hunter Stainless

Sako m75 Laminate Stainless

Here is my Sako m75 SS 300WM with custom flutes and teflon coated. LOVE IT. I do not care for the ne stock on the m85.
Sako m75 SS

I use Sako / Tikka Otilock Rings & Bases on my Sakos and Tikka T3's with Leupold scopes.

I had a T3 hunter in .300WM, worked flawlessly. I sold it to a friend and he loves it too. I went with a SS model instead, I was paranoid about marking it up.

Ruger M77 in either the standard or new Hawkeye. Half the price of a sako, minus the detachable magazine.
Do you really want to compare a Ruger to a Sako even if it is half the price?

I'm really liking the combacks for the t3Hunter
sure would like to find one on the exchange
if this can't be done were would you suggest I buy one and get the best deal
I will be looking for a scope as well
Thinking busnell ?
