Dont use it too hard or it will end up in the shop just like the rest of them :p

Sure is purty though :D But looks are not everything ;)

I always give them a good workout, but I also maintain them, never had a problem. A little grease and new filters goes a long way. ;)

Most people don't do any maintenance, just like their cars, they wait for a break-down, then they do repairs. Most people never flush their transmissions or their rads, even after 150,000km:rolleyes:

2001 Yamaha Kodiak. Had to rebuild the water pump as it developed a leak. Nice thing about it though is that it was rebuildable. Other than that, no problems at all. It gets worked as well. If i can ever find a 2000 Yamaha Big Bear 350se i will snag it in a heartbeat. Awesome little powerhouse with high low range. Never should have sold it.

I got a Yamaha 660 this year.... would have gotten the 450, but the extra $ to move up was very little, so I went for it. I don't think the extra power is really needed, but what the heck.

So far, (750 kms), an excellent machine, lots of power and very smooth ride all day with the IR suspension. I'm happy.

A pic of mine...

That's a fine looking machine.

We're looking at buying a new ATV. And we're deciding on the Honda or Yammy... We will probably go with Honda. Could anyone tell me what the BEST all around "trail, hauling, powerhouse" honda atv on the market is right now. Don't require killer cc's just a good, high rated all around best honda atv.

Also, how are the Bombardier atvs? A buddy of mine had a sweet 650 "forget the model? was green" ###y looking machine but I am not all that knowledgeable on what is the best when it comes to atvs

2006 Kodiak 450. It's been worked pretty hard so far this summer with no issues. Only tipped it once:D .

IRS and front diff locker really make a big difference when compared to the Honda 500 which I was going to buy. Some guys will tell you the Honda has a diff lock, but it's not a true locker like the Yammis have. Both are great quads, but for me the Kodiak fit the bill a little better.

Polaris and Bombardier (Can-am) are too heavy. Even the lightest ones are a PITA to get unstuck. We broke a tow rop and burnt out a winch getting a Bomber 400 out of the skeg. I was on my Kodiak and my buddy on his Grizzly. Neither of us got stuck....

Can't go wrong with a Yamaha or Honda. Suzuki's and Kawi's also have reasonably good reputations. Bombardiers seem to be OK, though they're ruggedness comes into question. Polaris and Arctic Cat, best of luck to you...

This is my ride, a 1992 Kingquad 300 and it's been a great bike. I'll be getting some new Mudlites pretty soon.

If I were to buy new I'd get a 450 Kodiak or a new Kingquad depending on price of course. Honda's are three wheel drive and I laugh at my buddy and his Rincon spinning all three tires in the mud. lol. Diff-lock only way to go. Don't get too heavy a bike because sooner or later it'll roll on you.

1985 6 weel drive amphibious argo. Now if I could stop buying guns I would be getting a 8 weeler. I'll take and argo over a 4 weeler anyday...In 7 years i never got stuck....Now I need a new set of tracks forthe winter...sign..there goes an other 700$

I ride a 06 brute force 750 (kawasaki)great running quad.more power than I will ever need.starts great in -35 weather.lots of ground coverage.great all around quad only complaint is the fuel consumption.I like to go on long rides into the bush and the 5 gallon gas tank doesn't last long.I have had it in mud up to the racks and it has charged right through it the only mods I have done to it are 27"mudlights and a 2500lb warn winch

Honda. My ride is a well used 1993 Honda 300. Its got a performance pipe, good rubber and all new shocks. My last two quads were: 2003 Polaris Sportsman 700 twin. and a 1995 Suzuki 300 king Quad. The Polaris had tons of power, great suspension first rate steering what a monster!! BUT in 250 kms it was in the shop 11 times, left me broke down in the bush every time it was out and finally at 300 kms the head gaskets blew (suppose to be a factory recall replacement BEFORE I bought the machine) after that it was deposited in front of the dealer's door and i went back to the ultra dependable Honda. The Suzuki was my ex-wife's and I think the 300 King Quad may be the best hunting quad made. With its ultra low gearing it can drag out a Moose and with the locking front diff it just never got stuck on me.
