best 410 shotgun

hey guys looking at getting a new 410 to put in the back of my truck when i go up north. just woundering what a good choice would be. i wound also be using it for hunting.

I'm satisfied enough with my 870 Express in .410. but I like my Wingmaster in 20 gauge a little better. Depends how much you want to spend and what you'll be hunting I suppose.

Remington 870 Wingmaster tops the list.
you can not beat the fit and finish of one of these great little guns.
You can buy the express, but sooner than later you will be doing more maintenance than shooting fun.

Have to agree love my 410 and 28ga vintage wingmasters especially since I had briley fit choke tubes in both.

Out of the three the BPS is the least money, and comes with tubes. I have owned them all and still have my Citori.
Also I have heard good things about the Mosbergs, may be way to go for truck/hunting gun.

I've had two Mossbergs and shot a few of the others mentioned.

Mossberg would be the best truck gun, but for versatility the BPS would better because it has choke tubes.

.410's are nice in a single shot, my choice would be an Iver Johnson Champion or Cooey 84

How about the stevens model 58 bolt action or my favorite...1918 BSA Enfield fullwood in .410. heavy but fun to shoot.

Had a beauty little cooey single for a long time. Another one I wish I had kept. Never had a single problem with it.

mine is a 20 guage-but the H&R ''tamer'' comes in both .410 and 20.Very utilitarian-synthetic stock, short barrel-it belongs behind the front seat of a pickup truck

I chose the 20 over the .410 because it shoots slugs ,so I'm good to go for either grouse or a deer

If I wanted something a bit nicer-I'd opt for a Yildiz folder .410

The best 410 shotgun came out about 6 years ago by Holland and Holland. It's a side by side that is priced at $35,000 English pounds.
Get a little single shot Yildez from Clay at Prophet River. Priced at about $225.00.

Another vote for the Yildiz folding single shot.
Great little truck gun, weighs about 3.5 lbs, and it folds.
I bought one and liked it so much I bought a 2nd one to cut short for my wife and son.

i got a H&R pardner compact in .410 . 20" bearrel. full choke. awsome truck gun. cheep and dose the job. no worries with it getting bonced around
