best 6.5x55 loads with 140 gr bthp??

My go to powder for the 6.5x55, was R22, and all of my friends also use R22.

Reloaded 22 is usually recommended but I had better results with 140 grainers with H4831sc. For 125-130 bullets I use H4350.

Love the Swede. As an old Nosler manual said; feed the Swede any reasonable load and it will sing a pretty song!!

My Carl Gustafs 6.5 x 55 M96 chambered rifle has shot a 0.31 MOA
10 shot group @ 100 meters with Lapua brass, 45.0 grains of
H4831sc and the 142 grain Sierra Match King.

RL22 and 4831SC for mine.. These powders fill the case. For very accurate loads at lesser power, 4350 was excellent.
