It depends on what your application is first and formost. If it is target shooting this is one thing. If it is a security requirement an overseas posting that is entirely different

- Civilian or military/security application?
- what are your targets?
- What are the ranges you are looking at?
- are you in or out of vehilces or aircraft?
- what are the local 7.62 guns available?
- what size and weight requiemnets do you have?
- environmental conditions just as dust, dirt, mud or marine with corrosion?
- What sort of sights or optics, determined by some of the above?

Just a few starters
 
the real question is non-restricted, restricted or prohib? Given no firearms discrimination categories, the choice for me is the C1-FAL-L1A1. In this reality it is a M-305 and my 7.62 Garand. Maybe a Rem R25 or a KAC in the future.
