Just wondering everyones thoughts on what's the best 7mm Rem Mag brass for precision shooting/ Who's the most consistent weight wise. Lapua doesn't make 7mm mag brass so who is the top dog?

Hornady seems to be doing quite well in terms of consistant brass.
Nosler makes great consistant brass but it is quite soft.
Norma also makes really good brass, the problem here is getting any.

As ATR said, the Nosler is good, but soft. I would suggest you buy 100 or more rounds of the same lot # of Winchester brass and sort it out by weight. Regards, Eagleye.

I have had great results with the Nosler custom brass. I never really finished load development, but with this brass most of my 5 round groups were about 0.37" at 100 yards. I had one 4 shot 0.17" group and then a 5th shot spoiled my fun.

As far as who has the most consistent weight, I did a test on the Nosler brass and a few cheaper brands. I weighed 20 pieces of Federal, Winchester, Igman, and Nosler brass - all to 1mg (roughly (0.02 grain). The Igman ammo is not accurate at all, but the brass was much much more consistent in weight than the other brands. Nosler then came in second. I would have liked to measure case volume and neck uniformity, but I just had too many other projects on the go.

7mm Weatherby Magnum brass is made by Norma. You could run it through a 7mm Rem Mag die and trim it. It's expensive. I do have 5-6 loadings so far on mine.
