I am a big fan of the 7mm Mag round..

i am looking for something new that is a single shot.

-price isnt too big a deal i dont care if it is 1000-5000.00

right now i have a Endeavor with a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x50 scope in 7mm rem mag and i am looking to up grade, or should i try to get aftermarket parts for my endeavor? if so what do they make? for it?

would a Ruger Number 1 Single Shot Rifle be a down grade? are they good guns?

#1, although I'm sure there are nicer European single shots available...

You know what's funny, you have a 4 ring setup there, and they all rely on the 3 or 4 little screws holding the base on.

You've got the buttstock cartridge holder...how many more aftermarket parts do you need?

Beware of anyone talking about 7mm's who says money is no object.....

When putting bases onto T/C's you can get an extra 2 holes drilled in the base and the barrel giving you 6 holes for mounting the base which is still more than 99% of bolt actions have.

I have one 6 hole Match Grade Machine base on my Contender carbine 45-70 barrel but I still only using 2 rings.

The nicest single shot is not Euro, sorry folks, it is either the Dakota #10, the Miller(of S. Dakota), or the Hagn(I'm not sure of it's origins). Definitely the Dakota model 10 is number 1 in my books. Pls. note, this is for mag. cals. and in no way do I find these any nicer or as classic as some of the older actions, like the Highwall, Sharps, Rolling Block, Hepburn, etc.

Shocking!
Ben, I'd have expected you to know that Martini and Hagn are Canadian guns! Kinda pricey, too.
Blaser makes a decent single shot, by all accounts.
