Best 9mm for target- no price limit

IMHO, the "best" won't have a lot to do with "target". Most of that, I believe you're talking accuracy, would come from the shooter. So, pick your poison. Learn to shoot it, and you have your choice.

Otherwise, you're just looking at a lot of advice from people who like what they own.

Sig introduced an American made P210 at Shot Show 2017. Lower priced version than the old, but I wonder how accurate it will be. The other one they introduced was the P320X series. Same modular chassis as the 320 but improved frame and handling.

P.

I was very fortunate to shoot both the P210 Super Target, and the P320 X5 at the SIG Range Day prior to the Shot Show. I can confirm the Super Target was very accurate.

I'm jealous RC. Looking forward to trying that P320 X5 at some point. Can you share more details?

I didn't do quite so well with the P320 X5, but that was due to operator error;). (If you Google SIG Sauer Catalog 2017, you will find within it a great one page summary of the features of the P320 X5) I only got one mag with the P320 X5, but have already tried to order one three times!

Here is a quick blurb I found online: "The new Sig P320 X-Series keeps the P320’s modular design, but it’s enhanced with an X grip module that features an extended beavertail, four-sided beveled magazine well and a crisp trigger guard undercut. According to the Sig, it also features an enhanced flat trigger; better slide serrations and three lightening cuts on top of the slide.

There are three pistols in this series: the X-Five, X-Carry and X-VTAC.

The X-Five is chambered in 9mm and .40 S&W and comes with a five-inch bull barrel; an extended slide catch lever; Dawson adjustable rear sight plate and a fiber optic front sight. It’s compatible with Sig’s ROMEO1 optic.

The pistol feels great in the hand, and has the same flat trigger from the P226 Legion SAO. The sights are excellent as well. We got 5 rounds per session at SIG Day, so I look forward to spending more time with the P320 X5.

I also held the gun a couple of times (when I could get near it, the SIG booth was very busy) at The Shot Show. The P320 X5 seemed to me to be one of the most exciting guns at Shot. They are hoping to have the gun available for sale in the next couple of months.

Good stuff, RC. thanks

Adamg,

I've never had the chance to handle or shoot the TS Orange. Is it a large improvement from the standard TS?

TT1900, yes I believe so. Improvements:

- frame undercutting and slimming
- trigger 1.8lb out of box
- adjustable rear sight
- fiber front sight
- burnished barrel
- crazy tight lockup
- slide is fit extremely well on frame rails
- excellent front and rear grip stippling
- aluminum grips
- thumb rest (gas pedal)

If sticking to 9mm, and in no particular order...

Sig P210 (Swiss)
Sphinx Systems 3000
Sig Sauer X6 Lightweight
HK P7 series

The unicorn....Beretta 92fs Combat Combo

And if a custom....Browning Hi Power. Yost's old HRT Hi Power package was the tits.

Frame slimming and undercutting alone would be worth it for those with smaller hands.

I had not actually heard of them, then one (of two) came up on the EE, and my curiosity got the best of me...did some quick research and couldn't resist. Unfired so far.

Now, when my daughter's tuition for next semester comes up, I may have to PM you with a sweetheart deal! This is another instance where the picture does not do it justice....

It sure is nice and I have heard that their build quality is absolutely top. Please don't tempt me with an offer- lol

Last family shot before the breakup. Did I mention how awesome the X6s are? ;-)
