Best 9mm for under $800?

I am following this thread with great interest. I too am looking at getting a 9mm. I really like the ergo's on the M&P, haven't shot one yet. Nobody in town here has a Glock to hold, let alone try out.

Personally I prefer Glock, not only for shooting, but easy cleaning, durability, reliability, parts are cheap and avalaible everywhere......

A cz75 is Ă  great gun, but overall I prefer Glocks. SW MP9 is a very good gun too.....

I bought the M&P9 and while I love it, the accuracy leaves something to be desired. Normally I'd chalk it up to inexperience but when I had went to the range before with a different gun, I may not have been able to keep the shots in the center of the target but I could group them pretty well. This is with the M&P9, not sure how well the M&P Pro is.

But even though the M&P9 has accuracy problems, I have trouble finding a better deal then the Range Kit. However pretty much anything previous posters have recommended are a good firearm. First firearm purchase is always a tough one.

It's got really cool trapezoid sights, really light, natural ergo grip and points comfortably, looks way different than any other gun out there with super low bore axis, easy to clean an take down, reliable. Yet barely anyone has one or talks about them. Something I'm missing about the m9a1?
