best 9mm NR carbine?

The JR site shows a video that explains how modular the design is.
Bolt head, barrel, and mag well can be swapped out.

Can the Thureon do the same? The TD site doesnt give a lot of detail. It does list the calibres available.
9mm NATO
.45 ACP
.40 S&W
10mm
.357 SIG

You can't swap calibers on the Thureon.

Fired 700 rounds of my JR 9mm this weekend, I must say I was finally impressed with the rifle. Its actually starting to behave the way a rifle should. Last 50 rounds, brass was a little bit damaged, but I think that's due to the fact that it was dirty as shiatt.

only one vote for the Beretta?

The problem with Beretta is cost. If you buy new & get the NR barrel you're in well over $1500. A JR new is just over $1000 and the TD is between them so you're looking at the Beretta being between 30 and 50% more expensive.

I have a 9mm JR and really like it. Yes, disassembly is a bit of a hassle (not difficult, just time consuming). It has been utterly reliable with jacketed 9mm (less so with lead bullets which I attribute to a tight chamber). Aesthetically I think it is a better looking gun than the TD, takes a lot of AR parts and the caliber conversion feature is great for those who want it.

The 9 and 40 versions generally seem to be dependable but the 45 has had problems.

I think the TD is also a good gun but when all cost and features have been figured in I think the edge goes to the JR.
