Looking to see what people opinions are towards buying an aftermarket barrel for my 10/22. I want to get the most accurate barrel i can afford thanks :)!

I have just recently tried out 4 different barrels Kidd ULW, GM 18", GM 16.5", Tactical Solutions, best accuracy in that order, tried CCI Blazers, Win 555, Rem Yellow Jackets, Rem Golden Bullets best groups in that order. The Kidd barrel shoots amazing the GM's not far behind, the Tacsol didnt impress me with the ammo i tried. The Rem GB's wernt even close compared to the others, i'm sure there will be others with different results and ammo used, but i have tons of the above mentioned ammo and wasnt looking to try & buy other ammo.

You get what you pay for.
Kidds ontop Valquartsen is runner up.
GM barrels imo are hit and miss.
Not so with the others.
Wish Magnum research sold barrels.
Even PWS barrels would be nice.

in all these years ive never seen a Kidd receiver in canada.
i know some have claimed to have had one at one time or another but ive never seen one.

Kidd barrels can be gotten from Dlask.
if im not mistaken Dlask barrels start off their lives as GM blanks.

ive been able to shoot most after market barrels and ill come right out and say it - i find them all pretty much the same.
i think for the most part after market bull barrels are going to be more accurate then 99% of us plinkers are.

ive shot GM and Dlask and TS and Kidd builds all side by side at the range and TBH they where all the same.

maybe look and see what is around and what you want and what weight you desire and tailor your build accordingly.
(ie, if you want light go TS, if you dont care about weight then any of the others, if you want a super nice stainless finish then look at Kidd, if you just want to shoot and dont want to go broke then Dlask/GM, if you want neat looking then look Whistlepig)
personally id with the dollar being so low id stay away from anything from the states.
the extra 50% increase in price just isnt worth it to me for a barrel.
(or find old stock that is already up here)

couldn't have said it better. if paper is the purpose go with a match chamber, if you want to feed it anything go with a sporter. Tac Sol is an awesome carry all day barrel in the gopher patch. a shorter dlask makes a handy in and out of the truck rifle. my next build will be open sights with a Tac Sol, then working on a match. nothing posted above has proven anything as far as accuracy goes. there simply has not been enough different ammo involved in the tests. 36 gr cci mini mags have been my all time favorite so far.
