Don't worry Bull's-eye, I have spent that much (actually more in two cases ) on .22's.
Srnm, I built an ultimate that is very common but very cost effective. Cost me about $200 for the gun, $120 for the barrel, $200 for the stock, $50 for mounts and about $200 for the scope. It sports a GM barrel, Revival industries yukon stock, Bushnell scope and Burris Signature rings. Turned out to be a very good little shooter and a ton of fun to shoot.

If you're looking for a ready to fo custom 10/22 look at magnum research out of the states somewhere they will build one to suit you're needs and the price is quite reasonable at $500 to $1000 usd.
