Can anyone recommend the best stock for the money that I can mount an LRB M25 in? Would the best route be maybe to just to leave it in the wood stock and have it professionally bedded? Any suggestions and links to stocks for sale would be very much appreciated.

Best is maybe not a great word to use...if you want one of the most accurate, versatile chassis around, blackfeather is probably your best bet. "Best" is a pretty relative term though...depends on what you want it to do.

I put a USGI fibreglass stock on mine. I much prefer it to the Boyd's walnut stock it came with! AG composites makes a really interesting carbon fibre copy of the usgi fibreglass profile that is really neat but cost about 800-1000$

Thanks for all the responses guys! Do good deals on stocks ever come up on EE? Or would I be better to buy new? Are american websites aloud to ship stocks to Canada?

Also - will any stock that is built for an M14 also fit an M25?

Will an expensive stock from m14.ca help increase accuracy of the platform?

You can often find USGI stocks on the EE, decent prices. Some places like Treeline will ship across the border, but not all.

By design, yes, though some require fitting.

I'm rolling with a J Allen right now but have my suspicions that a Sage EBR may have an advantage over most other stock designs.

The EBR replaces the operating rod guide with a version that screws directly to the stock. I suspect this may provide more consistent accuracy with fewer flyers over the long term.

I've been trying to buy an EBR stock for a while now but cant seem to find any on our side of the border lately.

I know the EBR looks unwieldy in appearance but when you have one in your hand its much more cuddly than you might think.

I see also that M14.ca also replaces the op rod guide to screw to the stock, so for accuracy... probably quite good too... and less expensive.

I just got an AG Composite CBR for mine but i haven't got it set up yet, still waiting for a buttstock. the Macmillan I had before was pretty heavy but it depends on what you want to do with it. The AG has all of the stiffness and may even be tougher (they drove a truck over it) than the Macmillan but is the lightest stock out there currently.

Not only does it replace the op rod guide, it also has a set screw in the bottom to allow for adjustible barrel tension which is great for tuning to specific loads.
