Like the title, which aftermarket trigger design best suits the Ruger 77 Mk II action. This is for a hunting application, running around 2-3 lbs. My gunsmith insists that the Timney isn't all that great to install, as he has had some sear issues and fitting issues with them.

The timneys are good

I did have issues with one. The safety would not engage I had to mill the safety lug to make it work
but worked good after that

Timneys are available, easy to install, and work 99.9% of the time with little or no issue. Canjar is a better trigger, long waits for availability (unless they happen to be making the model of trigger you want when you call, it's a small company). You can also modify the factory trigger, quite a bit of work, and you should really know what you're doing before you take on trigger work. FWIW - dan
