Best all around 12ga autoloader

I do have a spare O ring with me when hunting. Funny thing is I have never had to change one. As to the other "ring" maker I think I will need to replace a Remington O ring long before I would need the condom.:(

Savage has shotguns for 200-350$
Would these be competitive with the majority of the models everyone already listed ?

Got to shoulder sx3, maxus, a300, a400 and its a tough call. Also tried the franchi and stoeger and benelli but want gas I have decided.

Maxus price vs sx3 doesn't make sense to me for what extras it has and i disliked the mag lock lever. The jump to an a400 for kick-off seems like a lot but the ribber grips and other features were niiiice!!!! The a300 would probably do the trick but it doesn't come with a kick-off system but then again neither does the sx3. I liked the beretta action better - was much smoother and easier pull but the action lock being automatic on the sx3 was nice too.

Think I want to find a sx3 universal hunter if possible as they are drilled and tapped for my future red-dot turkey sight!

Getting there.....lol

Oh - and will pass on savage until I need a slug only gun......

Well what would be the difference then? I'm curious because I might have a source to get it even cheaper then retail
Curious on if it could be a suitable, dependable and accurate for hunting fowl and maybe deer

Fit and finish, quality of materials, design. There are good reasons why some shotguns sell for $200-$300, and some sell for over $1000.

I sold my 3 1/2" pump waterfowl gun this spring in favour of a semi, after many trips to as many stores as I could I ended up with a A300, price was great, felt great, adjustable LOP and shims for comb. when I can afford the best of the best I can pass this to my boys. I smashed clays with it all summer and have been smashing ducks now. Not one single issue. I really liked the SX3, but bought a couple flats of ammo with the savings, liked the versa max too, but the A300 felt that much better. My buddy went with the SA-08, which is nice and feels good, requires switching Pistons for light and heavy loads, much cheaper. I say buy the best you can afford, but once cry once, I would have gone A400 if I had the extra $$$. A side note I love shooting ducks with a semi, now that I'm used to not having to pump, I think my target acquisition is faster, resulting in me taking the 3rd shot more often, resulting in more duck sausage in the frying pan!

I found a NIB A300 Xtrema 3.5" in MAX 4 with kick-off (I assume its the butt stock one) for $1250 OTD and am considering it - apparently it has the A400 inner workings........thats the pre-tax price can get an SX3 for - decisions, decisions, decisions......

I use my Benelli M4 for everything now, from turkey, Canada or deer...
Awsome shotgun only take the appropriate chokes et voila... JP.

Think thats a little extreme for what i am looking for and way out of budget. Maybe if I was on the swat team on the side.......

Although I have not used it yet,I bought a Baikal semi on the advice of a couple of goose guides who had them as loaners and backup guns and ended up using them as their full time guns. Not the prettiest but it doesnt hurt so bad when it gets beat up and dirty.Everything I have heard about them was good in the reliability dept. just not so good in the ###y dept.

It does not share the A400 action, the action is a combination of parts from the A400 and parts from the 391..

So it may not be the deal I was hoping it was......was hard to gt details on it anywhere so thank you.

The search continues....

Beretta A300 Outlander.

Wood or synthetic as desired.

I have several thousand rounds through mine without flaw.

Ummmm because... Beretta.

Glad it worked out for you. A buddy of mine had an a300 outlander and the action was horrible. The bolt would stick and at times it would be be extremely difficult to even pull back. And as such, it had all kinds of cycling issues. Disassembly and countless proper cleaning did nothing to solve the issues. I wasnt impressed at all. To me, it was an embarrassment to have Beretta stamped on it. Something about "made in USA" and "Beretta" just doesnt seem right to me. The only good thing is that he got it on sale at Bass Pro for $699. But still, price means jack all if it doesnt work...just made the loss a little easier to swallow

That is the first negative review I've heard.
