best all steel rifle?

That's why I'll stick with my FN Winchester M70. 100% steel and Walnut. He wanted steel and synthetic so I and many others suggested a different version of the M70 that met his criteria.

You're right about plastic parts sneaking into production rifles... Perhaps that's why the OP asked for opinions on guns with NO plastic parts.
Hence suggesting a Tikka or any rifles you mentioned above is exactly the opposite of what he was asking for.

The OP could buy a CZ 550 Kevlar then order a steel magazine follower and steel floor plate. Actually, I believe the Kevlar edition has a detachable magazine.

Plus, I never suggested a Tikka. Just confirming they do have plastic parts. With CZ offering the steel replacement parts from there website, the plastic magazine follower and floor plate isn't much of a big deal breaker.

I looked over my CZ 550 in 270, and I couldn't find a shread of plastic on it... I don't know when it was made though...

Its only very recent the CZ 550 now has plastic. My CZ 550 LUX .270 was made in 2012 and its plastic follower and floor plate. CZ offers a replacement steel follower and floor plate on there web site. Its, as of now, the only things that are plastic on the CZ 550.

I hardly think that a plastic follower or floorplate are likely to break....

The plastic follower I could live with. The plastic floor plate, no. While unlikely to break, what would happen in say -35 weather if you dropped it or banged it on something? Floor plate shatters, sending your ammo into the snow? I haven't looked at any of the new CZ's with a plastic floor plate and wasn't even aware they were building such a thing.

My CZ 550 Magnum built in '07 is all steel and a wonderful gun.
