best alternative for h4350

RE 17 is great in .260 ai with 140s.

Those two are very similar. Personally, I would use whichever was on my shelf, or available or the cheapest.

W760 is almost identical in burn rate and the load tables are kissing cousins when comparing it to IMR4350.

I used H414/W760 in my Binlaw's 6.5 Creedmore and it gave almost identical velocities to the IMR4350 loads but with better consistency as far as velocity spreads go and better accuracy. Not sure why?? I really like IMR4350 in smaller cases because of its consistency.

I tried Surperformance as well, It was fine and gave slightly better velocities. Accuracy was about as good as his rifle was capable of.

I don't have a lot of the newer powders around. Other folks know more about them than I do.

Hodgdon’s 2019 powder burning chart shows H4350 @ position #116. Slow....

The reloading manual shows a veritable plethora of suitable powders: H414, Varget, IMR 4064 & 4166, ..... too many to list.....

I’ve been searching high and low for any H4350 alternative powders. Is it normally this hard to find? Haven’t bought powder in ages as I just do .223 and have some for that but want to get into 6.5CM

h4831 will work but you will need more powder and maybe a compressed load

No kidding. I'm glad I stocked up when I did because in a matter of a couple weeks prices went wild.

With the Cdn dollar dropping & USA manufacturers raising their prices, I'm afraid it's the new norm. Unless we see the CDN dollar gain strength against the US dollar.
I don't see that happening for a long time.

60$ a pound is theft and not normal price markup, local here is 46$ for fresh powder h4350 60$ for the same powder please what is that you driving to the states and buying retail and driving back. 60$ is a rip-off
