Best ammo for mini 14 580?

I'm looking for good ammo for my mini, its brand new ,a 580 series in stainless. I tryed cheap walmart fmj 55 gran winchestef garbage and it was extremly innacurate.

So i was wondrring what you are running?

The best ammo is match grade, thirty something dollars per box. Best to start reloading and make the equivalent for $13 a box. Start saving brass.

Try to find something heavier. I found that 69 gr Sierra Match handloads with 25.6 gr of Varget gave me great results with my Mini 14 Target.

Hornady makes a 40 round bulk box with 75 gr HP. The cases are steel though. $30, I think?

It will let you know if your gun likes the heavier stuff though

Remington has target ammo loaded with 69gr Sierra match kings as well. That's how I learned my AR has expensive tastes.
