While I don't have an SR9, if your pistol is picky about ammo, pick another pistol!
While the Ruger SR9 sits on the more affordable end of the Canadian market, they are more a of a mid tier brand in 'Murica. There, the SR9 is considered primarily a Self Defense, CCW, night stand gun.
I really liked handling it at my local range and it was accurate enough. In the end, I justified the Glock over the Ruger for a number of personal & performance reasons.
I personally feed my guns with whatever I can get cheaply for range work. *The Federal Guard Dogs and Remington Golden Sabres are for targets who are stupid enough to volunteer themselves by entering my home uninvited ;-)
Your Ruger should have no problem blasting through tens of thousands of rounds reliably. bulk, standard, reloads, +P... ALL AMMO!
