Best Ar like aftermarket stock going for 10/22?

Rather than buying an SR22 I picked up a regular 10/22.

What options are there for aftermarket stocks and who sells them? Everyone seems to be out of stock. I do like the Troy T22 but the forearm is a little long for my liking. Does anyone make a nice kit where you could use AR grip, buffer and forend?
 
Not sure about anything where you could use a forend but Spectre Ballistics is a nice aluminum piece and The Blackhawk Axiom I have on my DAR 22. Its polymer but it's very lightweight and accepts AR butt stocks.

Yes they do that Is where my Nordic Components hardware was from along with the M4 barrel from Green Mountain.

The Nordic components one is basically SR-22 chassis with different engraving. Get the 3 part one. I'd skip over their handguards and try and source an AR FF one, or ask in the EE for a SR22 one. You'll need a AR buffer tube (most likely) to mount your buttstock, and any AR grip will fit, though make sure your get the rubber trigger inset/filler (I think it comes with the Nordic kit still).
 
Cabelas has the ATI AR22 stock on sale for $129. Good price but it is one piece. I have a Fabsports FS556 that I could sell.

You can make the Ruger look very tactical with Nordic Components. My first picture is a NC and the second is a SR22 set as you can observe the two are very similar sans the added pic supports in the NC version.

They are made by the same companies.

Very cool guys :)

I’m going to experiment with the Troy chassis (price was right) and go from there. I got a little impatient and just ordered something to compliment the dlask barrel.

Not the advice you were looking for:

In my opinion (and experience) you are likely better to enjoy the 10/22 as it is, or build it into its own style of firearm.
If you really want an AR, there are .22 rifles that will provide a better substitution,

You can also go for the G36 style conversion (though walther makes a better g36 than the 10/22)

Having spend more money on 10/22 conversions than I would like to admit - then to find that they never deliver what i had hoped.
I would recommend enjoy the 10/22 for what it is, and buy an AR (.22 conversion) foe the .22lr fun.
 
Bah. Ive had the ciener kit for the ar and built a good dozen 10/22’s. Heavy bbl’s, wood stock, synthetic stocks, krinker plinker (not sure why I sold that). I last had a 597vtr which I found to be a pos. Just want to play with this version now.
 
That’s another question about these systems. The vblock has a tendency to pull the barrels downwards. Does anyone notice any differing from lack of barrels support? I don’t think I’d trust a 20” heavy bbl floating on a stock receiver
