I love how the Sig mags have the built in feature of coupling
so who makes the Best AR magazine coupler ?

They don't work worth a damn if you are moving around or trying to use them in a dynamic situation. They are awkwards and cumbersome to use and the rounds in the spare side often get knocked out of place on the top of the mag from recoil and movement and will jam up the rifle on the reload something ugly. For casual CDI range use, the buffer tech mag cinch is better than the fobus piece of crap.

I have one that is metal, and locks two mags side by side-staggered..... but I forget who makes it. It has a screw which is clamped down to keep the mags in proper alignment for quick mag changes (we do a lot here in Canada)
The only thing I would note is that the screw can come loose. Some locktite might help, but then the mag coupling would be more permanent.

Cedar shim from home depot & hockey tape;)

That's what we used, cammo or black rigger's tape to bind together two mags. For spacing between them we used folded cardboard, wood slats, course this was the patrol set up with the other 6-9 mags in pouches with the first generation mag pulls of rigger's tape tabs or para-cord loops.....

What ever you do DO NOT waste your money on a Mag-cinch. You blow a popcorn fart and the mag changes position. DPMS mag holders work well if your not planning on using a Mag Pull on it. I have another type that works just great with a Mag Pull, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the manufacturer at this time.

If your into 3 gun matches a double mag as a starter mag is great. Be advised practice under a timer BEFORE a match to ensure that the mags don't shift. If they do a little gun tape goes a long way.

Talked to Kamp, those sig mags stud break if the mags are fully loaded and got banged.
Yep but again gun/duct tape will help this, good time to add poor man's pull tabs, paracord. Sig mags aren't above a little gun tape and paracord.;)

I have used the First Samco couplers for a couple years now. They have worked great for me, of course I only use my rifle at the range so I don't know how they would work in combat.
