Best AR style tactical stock?

As far as single or two point , I like both , for straight two point a Vickers is hard to beat , but if you want the flexibility of going between two and one point , Magpul MS slings , as you can configure them as you like.

For the forward sling point , If it was the 18.5" barreled one with the shorter mag tube, I'd say source a GG&G front sling point , ether loop or QD, but with the 20" barrel full length mag tube, I'd go with a magpul barrel clamp, this can be used with a H&K type hook ,magpul paraclip or a QD sling swival , this will bring it back , so it's not way out there, the one for the reminington fits the 500/590 , they also make one just for the 590A1 heavy barrel.

The mesa stock adapter has QD sling points on it as do some stocks ,I like the magpul CTR myself ,it has QD points. another option is to use a receiver sling plate , never been happy with the sling plates , but that's just me.

Endine are good, they are pricey ,and will be hard to find , they make standard buckshot loads feel like light target loads.
I have heard good things about the kicklite, but haven't used one so can't say, had a Blackhawk folding recoil stock, it worked well enough, didn't like the bulk of it or how it worked , again , that's just me.lol

Wow, you know your stuff!
I am gonna cut and paste your entire post and bring it to my fave store and see if they can equip me with what you are saying. Didn't think 2 hooks and a piece of seat belt could get that complicated! LOL! Thanks for your help!

Rdavidson,
Looked at the Blackhawk Spec Ops on Youtube. Heard you could pinch yourself on the recoil rod. Just hearsay as I have not experienced any of these myself, that's why I'm asking on the forum.

Hey Greenhorse,
Did as you said. Went down to my fave store. Got the sling with the Magpul barrel clamp set up. Had it put away awaiting the arrival of the Kicklite stock next week. Got another sling with QD for my XCR at the same time. This hobby is expensive!
Thanks for your help!

The FAB Defense stock looks skookum! Especially the pistol grip! Cost? Fits without gunsmithing? How's it compare to the Kicklite? The FAB site says to stay away from the recoil mechanism. Have you experienced problems with cheek pinching with that stock?

I guess I wasn't too clear. What I have is this, an AR15 buffer tube, and this.

What I was talking about were these: Normal Fab M4 stock "GL-Shock" Fab Defense buttstock Don't forget that with Zahal you pay the advertised price in USD, but with no tax and free shipping.

It should fit without any gunsmithing. I wouldn't worry about your cheek pinching in the mechanism, I have the Fab stock similar to that for the CZ 858 and your cheek will never get that low, and you barely notice the mechanism working under recoil (at least I didn't, YMMV).

Ah, my mistake. Thought you meant the FABarms recoil absorbing stock. As mentioned, already put the order in for the Kicklite. I think the set up, at least cosmetically, will be similar to yours. Do you just run bead sights? How do you like your sling set up?
I've gone with Greenhorse's suggestion which I think will look very similar to what you have.

Yup just the beads my barrels came with. I LOVE my sling setup. S&J Front Sling Plate, Push button QD on the opposite side, and a padded VCAS. It gets the sling nice and tight without getting in the way. The VCAS is the ONLY way to go for a tactical sling IMO. Did you end up going with a Magpul sling?

I think it was the Blackhawk sling with the Magpul barrel clamp. Didn't know about the VCAS. Looks comfy!

Ok, which stock adaptor has a curved tang area for the web of my hand, not the sharp angle?

Or which one allows for the use of a pistol grip with a curved beaver tail?

I found that the Mesa Tac LEO adaptor with the supplied Hogue grip was an evil web pinching SOB!!! I changed the Hogue out for a BCM Gun fighter Grip mod 0. Perfection!!

I cut down an old ERGO grip from an AR to fit, it still has some of the curve for the web of your hand.
The sling is a magpul MS set up with a paraclip for the GG&G loop front sling plate and a QD for the off side of the stock or if I go single point ,near side of the Mesa adapter ,need to replace the single point adapter for one that'll work better wit the paraclip.

Now that's a pretty Mossy! Simple, functional and classy! Does that comp/ suppressor actually work? I've seen them on shotties but unsure if they are for show or are functional.

It's a stand- off devise , aka a Door breacher for those times you lose your keys , lol , also makes a good impact devise.

Mostly it just looks bad ass.

^^^ Nice.

So, not to twist this thread any more then it's been , But, I just put a magpul SGA stock on the old beater 590 I gave my daughter and .....well its really nice , so much so that I'm think of swapping out my stock adapter for one , it's a lot like a cross between the pistol grip stock above and a regular stock , also , you can run it very short and not have to worry about clocking yourself in the snout like a Hogue short LOP stock.
