Hope this is in the right section. I was looking at the options for a M9 type bayonet for the AR15 and the Mossberg 590's and found the milspec USMC issue bayonet from Ontario knife company:

Anyone suggest a better overall bayonet for these rifles?
I have a BUCK Probis, but wanted something a little different. How does LanCay stack up to these?

Mine is from 1987 .. its time for a new one :)

I might be interested on that one. Got any idea how much are the bayonets from Ontario knife Co.?

USMC issue new is $120USd from Ontario Knife Co. It seems like a cammilus / Buck style serration. double the price of a comparable knife but its mounts on the 590 or AR15 ...

Seems that the new USMC Bayonet is prooving well!

Well, I just went on a late night shopping spree and forked over way too much for a OKC3S.

After reading the USMC review, it seemed like a sensible choice.

Was looking at Smith & Wesson M9s that seemed really reasonably priced, then found out the S&W apparently don't make bayonets, and they're cheap Taiwanese knock offs.

that ZT looks really good...

I really like the Eickhorn-solingen M7. tactical squirrel anyone?
(sorry cannot upload pics from work).

he's probably heard about the breakage problem that they have b/c of the tang- it narrows considerably after the guard, and it's SUPPOSEDLY weaker than a full tang( like the m7) at that point-the reason i say supposedly is that i cannot ever concieve of a situation where a civilain would put a knife under that much stress- remember, the m7 et als would break at the guard under certain conditions too
