Source an Armalite or compatible lower then order the rest of the AR10 parts from Wolverine. That's how I'm building my SASS, just have to narrow down the barrel blank.

DPMS or Remington is the most REASONABLY priced .308 AR in Canada IMHO. There are better AR's, absolutely, but not in terms of value per dollar. They shoot rather well too.

For those who don't know, the R-25 is produced by DPMS, and just marked as a Remington product.

New ones take proprietary mags and aren't available due to export restrictions.

My vote is definitely LMT MWS for value. If I bought a Keltec RFB, I'd buy an RRA LAR 8 so they could share mags.

The proprietary mags are modified M14. You will never have an issue getting mags.

I would avoid the LAR 8 by RRA like the plague.

Correct me if I am wrong but most of these selections are restricted models ya? I looked at the DPMS on the Questar site, It doesn't say if it is restricted or not but it sure looks cool.

Whoa...sounds like we have the same thing going on. I'm waiting on my lower from Wolverine (thinking spring time). I got lucky as my (now deceased) father-in-law had tons of parts kicking around for the build. Just had to source the lower and some other minor parts. She's going to be purdy!

Wait till 4th quarter, there will be a few more options in the AR308 platform by then, stay away from the AR10.

I like LWRC REPR, got a SR25 in 20" and a REPR in 12" myself.

Price for Value will be REPR.
