Best AR's in Canada?

I originally bought a PWS114 also known as Primary Weapon Systems. Fantastic AR and it has never skipped a beat. Still my main AR for the type of shooting I do. I recently bought a Colt Diemaco SR20 and while it performs perfectly and I truly enjoy shooting it, It is definitely a step down in quality from the PWS. Nothing wrong with it, just not the same attention to detail as the PWS.

pws is a piston, but yah excellent AR

Echo pws for piston! I actually like the mod 1 more than the mod 2

Noveske and kac are dreams of mine for DI

I have a REC7 and really like it. If I was a bad man doing bad things in bad places it'd be what I'd take (well, the shorter barrelled one....).

I got it for 1999$ from Wolverine when they were getting rid of the Gen1's. I just looked for you, none left and the Gen2's are 36-3800$$$

If you can find one on the used market, I'd say giv'er.

I'm not an AR expert, and I partly bought it because I wanted a "Barrett" (anyone with comments please f-off, I'm well aware of the vanity of it). It is my one and only AR, like the OP mentioned his will be.

Have fun!!!

Well if your looking for a quality CANADIAN made AR15, go for a Colt Diemco SA20 or wait on the new MRR version coming out this summer. Support your local economy and keep a fellow Canuck employed. If you do your research you'll find that the Diemaco's are made to exceed Nato specifications for the AR15 according to the US Government. So you can't go wrong with them.

You want to know the main reason why I bought my Colt Diemaco SA20, MADE IN CANADA with that Maple Leaf standing proud. The build quality if excellent and it's as tight as a Swiss watch.

If you can wait for a few months, then this will should be available to Canadian Civilians.

Look at Questar. LMT or Noveske

I built most of mine but bought my brother a Noveske from them and he has been extremely happy with it, very reliable and customizable as well.
Very nice looking aesthetically as well. Pretty popular if you look at the AR15 sticky. Many get their keymod rails for their builds.

This is what I would get if I was to buy a full rifle.

The best bangs for the buck are not Noveske or KAC. In my opinion those guns are not worth the prices they demand. Especially when being limited the way canadians are with resitrcited firearms. Good AR-15's supplies in Canada are low to non existent unfortunately it appears. Colt is having company trouble and had to file bankruptcy last year so that is why many of their rifles have been hard to find in the U.S and Canada except for Diemacos which seem to always be in stock and I am thinkig it is because they arent in demand. Any "best bang for you buck" ar -15's will cost you around $1800- 2000 after tax

The best bang for the buck is the one that give you this, if you dont get this everything else is rethorics... My KAC is worth every dollars, that doesnt mean others are not... Food for thoughts ... JP.

Nice and tight. I didnt mean KAC are not worth alot of money. What I meant was you can get ar15's that are half the price that do the same thing.

Skip the boutique brands like KAC, Noveske, HK and go with a proven work horse

You saying that KAC isn't a proven workhorse?

In what aspects are the KAC better than Colt Canada?

Colt makes a top quality basic AR

KAC makes a top quality enhanced AR

With Knight's you get more features already build into the rifle.

For example:

Ambi Safety
Ambi Mag Release
Ambi Bolt Catch
Enhanced Trigger Guard
Enhanced Bolt carrier and bolt
Enhanced Gas System
Improved Flash Suppressor
Modern rail system
LMT Adjustable Stock
Sling Swivel Cups built in
Front and Rear BUS
Enhanced Charging Handle

Hands down KAC SR-15 E3 Mod2 with URX4 rail in 14.5 or 16"
If LWRC was readily available in Canada I'd say the M6 IC-SPR in either length.

My SR15 is the best rifle I have ever handled in this country.
