Best 'bang for buck" AR?

What mags would you recommend for the DA 556?
thanks

LAR-15 Mags run flawlessly
They also don't hang down like a 30 rd and are compact form factor.
I got a new LAR15 mag this week and tried it at the range this weekend, no breakin or anything required. Ran clean first try. This includes obligatory magdumps.

Thanks for the responses gentlemen. I am looking to get my first AR and of course $$ plays a significant factor. Being able to pick up a DA 556 for $600 seems like the best choice to see if it is something I will enjoy shooting and tinkering with.

What are you guys, a bunch of peasants....KAC? Pffffft....what, no one here can afford a Nemo?

Asking what is the "Best bang for your buck AR" is definitely going to spawn a lot of different answers because it is so open to interpretation. It’s going to be different for everybody depending on their tax bracket, what they are comfortable with spending and what they are looking to get out of their AR. “What AR should I get for $1k, this is what I plan to do with it” might get you closer to the answer you’re looking for.

Still, it's an interesting thread with lots of different opinions. Lol, some people have even gone to painstaking lengths, making multiple posts citing the same thing, over and over again in case someone missed the fact that he has a KAC. We get it, you have an AR that most people in this thread can’t afford, no need to repeat it over and over again.

I have two Colts now, only because of Walmart pricing and a wonderful IOP, but if you asked me best bang for your buck, I wouldn’t be ashamed to say Norc.
