What's the best "best being relative" bang for buck bulk buckshot out there? 00 or #4. Not necessarily looking for the cheapest, but more reliability (in a semi auto) and decent quality/patterning.

Something to stack deep so to speak.

Kent? Score? Federal?

Other options?

So, what are you intending to do with that ammo? Hunting, plinking ... or the Apocalypse ... ??

I guess it all depends on what kind of pattern you want ..... and out of what choke you are intending to shoot that ammo ....

They all go bang!

Here is an example of Sellier & Bellot 00 Buckshot out of my 870P Tac-14 .... and at 20 meters ...

And here the pattern of Federal 00 Buck with Flightcontrol wad out of the same gun …. and same distance ...

I like challenger. Been using it in a cylinder bore winchester and it works just fine. I trust my life to it. Price is basically the same as the S&B posted above this and its made in Canada

SB buck is usually about $16/25 around here. At least before the ban and panic it was... I definitely wouldn't pay $1+ a round for that stuff...

Out to what distance ?

It made 2metre ish group at 75m ish. Buckshot is meant for handgun ranges. 75m would not be ethical for deer.

When i say trust my life I mean it is reliable and groups well for home defense range. Or front lawn defense range if things turn real ugly. I dont have measurements or targets cause thats just numbers on paper. I am confident that all pellets would be on a human size target at 20m
