age - Nice call. Thats my type of rifle. M305 is on my "to buy" list, I was thinking it would be next. But I have many rifles that are close to that same platform. The closest being (2) SVT-40's. I guess I'm looking to diversify.... haha
It's funny you should mention that gun though. Last week I was in two dif gun shops in Brandon. I looked at M305's and Springfield M14's beside each other while in each shop. Obviously the difference in quality of materials, finish and smooth cycling jumped out at me. It would be the same with the AR no doubt.
The thing is, I spent the money and bought a "high quality" 1911. Looks nice, feels nice, is obviously a tight pistol, but there were kinks to work out. Maybe a cheap Norinco 1911 looks cheap and feels cheap but it might perform just as well or better. Know what I mean...
