Best bang for your buck flashlight to mount on 12 gauge

More info On this please ^^^

As mentioned it is an Inforce WML. Actually, now that I look at that picture it may be a Chinese knock-off I picked up for $50 - but don't waste your money on that - buy the real think. The real Inforce is top quality, also very compact, easy to use and can literallly be installed or removed in seconds. All you need is 3 picatinny rail slots, the mount is built-in to the flashlight.

Mounted as shown in the picture it is super easy to activate with the thumb of your left hand and it illuminates the front sight as well as the target.

Here's my set up. Magpul light mount, Rofis TR31C LED flashlight.

I think i have one in a parts bin somewhere. I was more curious how you got it onto the MOE fore end. Maybe i'm having a brain fart, or it's just been a while since I handled mine, but I just cant think of how to get it on there off the top of my head

For about $10 you can buy a small plastic Magpul rail that attaches to the fore end (in any one of the 9 slots). The one in this picture is a cantilever version, but a flat section of rail would also work:

Yep, Magpul polymer MOE cantilever rail then Magpul Left light mount kit are the parts used on my rig, Rem 870 express Tactical with the Coyote Magpul MS1 sling in the photo 4 posts up.

Awesome! Thanks for the tips guys. I just got my 14" barrel kit in today for my 590A1, and ordered a moe forend to chop up a bit for it. I ordered a 7 slot rail section too that hopefully will fit my light perfectly

I dont own a shotgun but there may be a few factors to consider when buying a firearm mounted light. There are flashlights, then there are flashlights meant to handle the recoil. I vaguely recall a light that had 2 springs instead of just the one by the tailcap. I can imagine the constant beating the cell would take is not good for longevity. All the more reason to go single cell?

My vote is for Fenix. They're not expensive and I haven't had issues with it (TK15, Gen1) mounted on an 870.

Exactly. Excellent quality dedicated firearms lights can be had from Surefire, Streamlight and Inforce. Fenix has yet to produce a dedicated light. Having bought their old TK11 and having it fail from regular duty use after one year, I would never even consider putting one of their lights on a shotgun.

Anyone come up with a cool solution to a Mossberg 14"? There isn't enough real estate on the tube, and I will NEVER attach something to the barrel. The forestock doesn't have a mounting point, so.....what do ya got for me?

Surefire makes a dedicated forend for 14" barreled Mossbergs.

Fenix, lots of options. I don't have one in a gun by own four of them and find them to be top notch and affordable. The newer versions also let you half push the switch for momentary on, and have memory to return to same brightness setting. They're rock solid. Use them every year for tracking deer and they get it done.
My two cents.

I know im going to get ripped on for this but here it goes. I tried a lot of flashlights, and in the end i went with the pelican 2380.

That's not so bad. I went down to the local thrift store, got one of those 80's era plastic clamps for attaching a d-ring bike lock the the frame of your bike. Slapped her on my s&j +2 and threw my snap on led flash light in there. It can be activated with your hand on the forend and has bright, super bright, and strobe settings.

Not exactly mil-spec, but good enough to keep the coons out of the coop!

This is where I'd like to see Magpul make a dedicated 14" Mossberg M-lok forend (won't happen since 14" are illegal in US) ..... because attaching a light to a 14" pretty much has no where else to go.

Of course you can cut & mod a Magpul but not fun ...

I really like genesis! made in Ontario life time warranty. Got a 560 lumens with 3 setting, bright, dim, strobe. Picked up new with mount $100. Light is super bright and does not shake on recoil. Support locally whenever possible!!!
