Best battle zero for Ar-15??

I’m using a 7.62x39 Ar what zero should I use

You can still do a 50m zero with 7.62x39, but the cross over is 50/130ish.

Like the 300 BLK, it is heavier and slower. You cannot really have a flat "zeroing" cross over like 5.56. If you zero at 100m, the drop is like 7.6" at 200m. 5.56 is like 4".

Just to illustrate, for my 9" 300 bLK, I use 40ish/120ish - it gives me a maximum tolerable drop of 6" at around 180m.

If you look at this, that 6" drop is the drop of 5.56 from 200yrd to 300 yard. This also illustrates one of the reasons why 300 yard is pretty much the commonly accepted point and shoot range for 5.56.

This also explains why 5.56 has a longer effective range for most people - you can point and shoot out to 250m + a bit more without thinking bullet drop too much, for 7.62X39 this happens at just 200m. When it drops, 7.62X39 drops much faster.
