I'm looking for a good scope for my ultimate muzzleloader, this shoots faster than a standard muzzleloader/shotgun so there might be calibration issues with some systems, on my shotgun I use a Burris with there BDC reticle and it works fine as long as you remember what ranges each hash mark equates too. What's the best scope and ranging system for this case?

Also what is the best way to get good a baseline for hash mark vs range?

Like mentioned above...The Leupold Grand-Slam is hard to beat! The trick is dialing it in for your load your using. Follow the instructions in the manual for sighting and then just remember to make a mark on the power adjusting right where "your" load setup is. Then just make sure that you keep the dial on that mark at all times unless you are up close and personal and only using the main cross hair's in the reticle.

Good luck...Ryan

I have a leo on my muzzle...just put a nikon on my 220 f slug gun..prefer the nikomn and love their web app.
