Bear/moose gun. Hmmmm. Black bears are easy. These two aren't in the same class when it comes to shooting. Moose, big bulls, are tough - real tough. Small bulls are easy and don't seem to take much, but run into a 1500+ pounder in the bush and without some real power or a perfect broadside shot, they're anything but easy to put down. If distances are shorter (within 200 yds), go bigger caliber and heavier bullet (mid .30's and up). Other than that, shoot whatever you like!
