What you really need is a good instructor, a plain, clean rifle with a good sling and plenty of ammo.
Everything else is not necessary. All the add-ons are at best a slight advantage, but most of the time a liability.
Had the pleasure to attend a basic-rifle class as an assistant-instructor this year and it was really interesting too see what worked and what didn't.
It was a real eye opener. Forget about foregrips and AFG's, just remember the basics of shooting, which are:
